Ali Tabassi is the chief operating officer of YTL Communications. His professional interests include design, development, integration, and operation of wireless solutions in the telecommunications, networking, and IP industries. Prior to joining YTLC, Mr. Tabassi was senior vice president of technology at Clearwire and chief technology officer at Clearwire International.

Prior to Clearwire, Mr. Tabassi acted as the chief technology officer in Sprint Nextel, the third largets telecom operator in the USA. Tabassi has an MBA and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. Mr. Tabassi has over 30 years of experience in the Telecommunication and Internet industries.
