The model was launched as the first subcompact MPV into the Malaysian market at the end 2009. The model was an attractive proposition as it offers a 'cross-over' element between a subcompact car and a stylish MPV.
Fuelled by unique selling points such as ideal body size, versatility, attractive exterior styling, global safety features, and low fuel consumption, the model sold more than 40,000 units in 2010, capturing almost 39% of the MPV market share and subsequently leads the MPV market segment.
